The TX3800 is the latest model in GME's UHF transceiver family and comes packed with an impressive list of features. With its 'Flash' upgradeable microprocessor and flexible programming, future upgrading of your two-way radio requirements becomes a reality. The compact modular design of the TX3800 incorporates a rugged die-cast aluminium chassis which allows it to withstand constant vibration and extreme temperatures.
The TX3800 provides a full 25 watts of output power without compromising the size of the radio. The length of the chassis has only increased by 50 mm compared with the existing TX3600. When used with the optional remote conversion kit (as pictured), which separates the controls from the main body of the transceiver, the TX3800 becomes possibly the smallest 25 watt commercial radio in Australia.
Taking advantage of the full diecast chassis and top cover, this design allows the unit to dissipate the heat generated by the 25 watt output power whilst providing a very rugged and robust radio. GME Electrophone is so confident in the design we offer a full two (2) year manufacturer's warranty.
Installation is simple. Measuring just 128 mm (W) x 165 mm (L) x 29 mm (H) the TX3800 easily fits into the confines of modern vehicles. For traditional DIN sized console mounting the MBD001 DIN adaptor kit allows the TX3800 to be easily installed or removed. The built-in speaker can be mounted facing either upwards or downwards for clear audio.

Numeric Signal Strength Meter on the LCD
Non Volatile Memory retains all user settings
Dustproof Microphone
Fully backlit controls and keys
High Contrast LCD with backlighting
Adjustable squelch control
450 - 520MHz Frequency Range plus all 40 UHF CB Channels (output power limited to 5 watts on CB channels)
Manufactured using the latest surface mount technology and reflow soldering techniques
Designed and manufactured in Australia
Additional Features:
Scanning
Two possible modes:
Open Scan (OS) scans the preselected channels in an ascending sequence.
Group Scan (GS) also scans in an ascending sequence but monitors and gives priority to the main working channel
Selcall
Allows individual radios to be called without disturbing other radios on the channel. Group Selcalls allow more than one radio to be called in groups of either 10 or 100
CTCSS
Continuous Tone Coded Squelch is a quieting system that allows a group of radios to talk to each other without having to hear other users on the same channel
Voting
The "Multi-Trunk" system allows the radio to automatically select the nearest free repeater channel, allowing users with and without "Multi-Trunk" to share multiple repeaters more efficiently. Identification The large LCD screen features Alphanumeric labelling of selected channels and user names. This simplifies channel selection and the identification of incoming callers when using Automatic Number Identification (ANI) Selcall
DTMF
Dual Tone Multiple Frequency signalling can be used for dialling telephone numbers or activating devices by remote control. The radio can be programmed to "Speed Dial" a number from memory on a specific channel by pressing a designated Function Key
Talk Around
This enables the radio to talk directly to another radio when both parties are using a repeater channel, without going through the repeater itself. This may be necessary when the repeater is out of range but both radios are still in range of each other
RF Output Power
The user can select either 25 Watts or 5 Watts RF output power
2 year Warranty
