Sena 60S EVO: The 60S, Evolved

The original 60S set the bar for Sena’s flagship range — Mesh 3.0, Wave Intercom, dual-core processing and a proper touring battery. The 60S EVO keeps that proven chassis and jog-dial layout, then upgrades the three things riders notice every kilometre: sound, runtime and backup.

Sound is now Sound by Bose. Talk time is longer. Warranty jumps from three years to Sena’s limited lifetime warranty. Same familiar unit on the side of the lid — better audio and more hours in the tank.

What Sena changed on the EVO

Sound by Bose
40 mm speakers tuned with Bose WaveForm Audio Engine and SoundDesign. Fuller bass, more even volume at speed, and voices that cut through wind and engine noise without you winding the volume to eleven. The Bose tune lives in the system — swapping speakers later won’t recreate it.

Longer battery

Bluetooth intercomup to 27 hoursup to 24 hours
Mesh intercomup to 19 hoursup to 17 hours
Full chargeabout 1.5 hoursabout 1.5 hours

That’s a full touring day plus a bit of buffer if the group keeps chatting after the last fuel stop.

Limited lifetime warranty
The EVO is one of the first Sena models covered by Sena’s limited lifetime warranty on the main unit and clamp kits (Sena terms apply). The standard 60S stays on the regular three-year cover.

Smarter sensors

  • Antenna position detection — a voice prompt if the Mesh antenna isn’t deployed
  • USB foreign-substance detection — warns you if debris is in the charge port before it becomes a problem

Everything else that made the 60S a flagship is still here: Mesh 3.0 (plus Mesh 2.0 for older Sena units), Wave Intercom, Bluetooth 5.3, AI noise cancellation, dual-core CPU, magnetic mount, RideGlow, built-in flashlight, IPX7, OTA updates and two clamp kits in the single box.

Connectivity that works in a real group

  • Mesh 3.0 / 2.0: up to 2 km in open terrain
  • Group Mesh: up to 24 riders
  • Open Mesh: 6 channels, virtually unlimited riders
  • Wave Intercom: cellular-based, virtually unlimited range and group size while you’ve got mobile coverage
  • Bluetooth intercom: up to 4 riders
  • FM radio on board

Mesh 3.0 is backward-compatible with Mesh 2.0 (switch in the Sena app), so a 60S EVO still talks to 50S / 50R / 30K mates. Wave is the one to use when the group stretches out on a long highway or splits across different roads.

Dual helmets, one brain

The single pack includes two universal clamp kits, speakers, boom and wired mics, glued plates and a 3.5 mm adapter. Wire your road lid and your adventure lid, then magnetically snap the main unit across. Dual pack doubles the hardware.

Custom faceplates are in the box so it doesn’t have to look like a generic black brick.

Optional Sena ANC earbuds (sold separately) drop ambient noise by up to 25 dB if you prefer in-ear over helmet speakers. Check local road rules before using ANC on public roads.

Pick the 60S if you want the same Mesh 3.0 platform and HK sound at a sharper price.
Pick the 60S EVO if you like the jog dial, want Bose audio, extra hours and the lifetime warranty — and you still want the torch for night stops.
Pick the 60X if you want the new joystick, wireless charging and the slimmer module.

All three talk to each other on Mesh 3.0 and Wave.
