The IC-M412 is an entry class transceiver re-taining the same compact size, easy operation and submersible construction of the IC-M422. When the IC-M412 is connected with the MA-500TR Class B AIS transponder, you can easily set up an individual DSC call with a vessel or base station and start a conversation. The IC-M412 comes in two colors, black or white. The three main differences between the M412 and the M422 is that the M412 is Class D DSC where the M422 is SC101 DSC. Also the M422 can use the Command Mic HM157 where as the M412 does not have that option and the M412 is compatible with the MA-500TR where the M422 is not.

Class D Digital selective calling

The built-in Class D DSC provides additional safety at sea. The built-in DSC watch function monitors Ch 70 (DSC channel) activity, even while you are receiving another channel. Distress, individual, group, all ships, position request/reply, polling request/reply and DSC test calls can be sent. DSC messages can be received and automatically stored in the message memory.

IPX7 submersible protection

When connected to an external GPS receiver, current position and time are shown on the IC-M412's display. When receiving position information from another vessel, the IC-M412 can transfer it to a navigational device via NMEA 0183 connectivity.
